I got this as a work knife. Needed a no frills trusty workhorse. And this is it. Save the the tip of your blade by using the awesome spike for poking prying or other spikey duties. And the blade is perfect for cutting rope or boxes. Old timer is a trustworthy knife and one that should last to be handed down generations.

I have tons of schrade knives so it's hard to get too excited anymore. This one came really sharp, has a sturdy locking marlin spike, and the sawcut delrin scales are always aggressive and super grippy which I love about that scale material. Fit and finish on my example was great. Pins were rounded and smooth where neccesary and flat and flush where neccesary. I love the witing on the spike release as I think it gives it a touch of class. Great all around pocket knife if you like this style. I would love to see a liner lock type blade on this model, but still a great knife.
