Great looking knife with D2 steel for better durability and edge retention. I love the wood scales with the silver bolsters.
The 940t and all variants are my favorite size trapper for edc, the heritage has nice stabilized wood scales and are finished smooth. Fit and finish is pretty good, the blades are ground thick behind edge so be aware, I like the strong edge but it but needs a reprofile of the edge for my liking. The D2 they use takes a very nice edge and polishes up fairly well and edge retention seems on par thus far, but only had them a week or so. I have three and a fourth on the way I like them so much. 2 have perfect walk and talk, third is overly tight but is getting much better (the one I'm using) otherwise is great other then this and it will be fine once fully broken in. Blade centering is good on all three, they came with sharp rough edge and are more consistent then many other old timer models, and all have no gaps with springs. Some sharp edges on brass liners at butt end that I took a ceramic rod and buffed. I got the 3 on sale for 18 and change, fourth at 19 and change. Cannot go wrong with them on sale, but worth the money off sale imo. Will buy more when on sale as they will make great gifts.
