Arm hair shaving sharp right out the box! A fine quality blade with a secure grip handle, has a comfortable hip riding sheath the hangs with a good weight. Not too heavy. Good balanced blade.
Recieced my knife in two days with the free shipping option (awesome). At first I thought that the knife looked a little small! Once I got it in my hands it felt solid and has a good handle that fits comfratable in my hand. I've pretty big hands so I was a bit skeptical. The Blade is pre-sharpened with a good edge on it, touched it up with the diamond sharpening rod and now it's ready to skin that deer in Oct. (haha hope so!). Will update if I get lucky!
If I got my pants on, I got this knife with me. This is second one I’ve bought. Sheath is good quality and the knife is the S@&T.
Very nice blade with a very handy form-factor.Nice finger and thumb braces, at the "hilt", provide fine, dexterous control.Good for skinning small game, cleaning fish, and for light utility.Looks just a little scary ... like ... "This guy is not a poser".The sheath is leather and I might get some mit-oil and hammer it flatter.Would like to see some more thoughtful mounting options, for MOLLE and pistol belts.Totally satisfied and my expectations have been exceeded. Worth every penny. Would prefer hi-quality a carbon steel version !FOUR STARS ! I like it !
I love these knifes. Good price keeps a decent edge and easy to put an edge on it and keep it honed. These are perfect for field dressing if you have a separate gut hook. It's small size makes it nice. I really like the finger groove on the edge. Nice for skinning.
This is the perfect knife for all things deer related. Bought this last Wed, by Sat had field dressed 1 deer and skinned and quartered 2. I only used this knife and a reciprocating saw. This short blade came razor sharp right out of the box. The full tang handle feels substantial in my hand and the slightly curved blade with with its fine point is perfect for working the smaller area's.. The all leather sheath is a great compliment to this excellent knife!
Exactly as the picture in the description.Needed sharpened out of the box.Overall good knife for the money.
This is a very nice little knife. I have been using it on a fishing trip to the Texas coast and I have been impressed. It fits my hand well and cuts through fish bones and filets well for cut bait. This is going to become my carry knife. One of my friends admired it so I ordered one for him for Christmas.
I really liked the feel and ergos of the knife, however the blade geometry was just bad... I tried using this knife for a myriad of different tasks such as cutting meat, slicing and skinning apples, whittling wood, and opening packages and was just not impressed with the blade geometry art all, especially for such a small knife. A knife of this size should have much thinner blade stock, and a very fine edge for more delicate work. This is not a knife designed for batoning or other heavy work. This is a skinning/food prep/edc knife. And for those tasks, I found a simply Opinel performed light years better than this knife! The handle ergos were fine, but the blade was honestly horrible, even after reprofiling...Also, the particular knife I received from Amazon had a mis-molded handle that was sharp and jagged to the touch. I ended up returning the knife to amazon for a refund. I would probably not buy this knife again, as even at the $15 price, there are better options out there IMHO. Sorry folks, I'm just not a fan of this knife.
The knife looks great it feels good in the hand but it does not have any jimping. I consider that a must for a skinning knife so that you can get better purchase on the knife as you make cuts. I didn’t notice it when I bought it so I have returned the knife because there’s no jumping and also the snap on the sheath does not make good solid contact.
